- Discord handle (required)
- Email address (required)
- Playtest application answers (availability, experience, platform questions, NDA comfort, etc.)
- Optional notes you type into the form
- Phone availability (Yes/No only). We do not request or store your phone number in the signup form.
Information we collect automatically:
- IP address
- User agent (browser and device information)
- Timestamp of your submission
- Basic server logs used for security and troubleshooting
2) How We Use Your Information
- To review playtest applications and select testers
- To contact you about playtest access (Discord and/or email)
- To manage eligibility and access (for example, tracking whether you remain in the Discord)
- To prevent spam, fraud, and abuse (IP/user agent, rate limiting, security logs)
- To improve the game and playtest process (using the feedback you provide)
3) What We Do Not Do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not request your real name, home address, or phone number in the playtest signup form.
4) Sharing and Service Providers
We may share information with service providers that help us run our website and communications (for example: web hosting, email delivery).
These providers are only given access as needed to provide their services.
- We may share limited information with moderators/admins helping manage the playtest program.
- We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and users.
5) Data Retention
We keep playtest applications only as long as needed for the playtest program and related administrative needs.
- Typical retention: up to 12 months after your last activity, then deletion or anonymization (adjust as you prefer).
- Security logs may be retained for a shorter or longer period depending on operational needs.
6) Your Choices
- You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your playtest application data by contacting us.
- You can stop participating in playtests at any time.
7) Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including access controls and secure hosting practices.
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
8) Cookies
Our site may use essential cookies for basic functionality. If we add analytics or additional cookies later,
we will update this policy and (if required) provide cookie controls.
9) Age Requirement
The ROBA playtest program is intended for adults (18+).
