ROBA is a multiplayer RTS (Real Time Strategy) / RTT (Real Time Tactics) game built around intense micro, squad-based objective play, and physics-based gameplay. It draws heavy inspiration from Myth II and a community mod called WW2 Recon. ROBA currently has two main game modes. In one, each player controls a single unit and works with their team to complete objectives. In the other, a larger squad-based mode lets the captain distribute units across players however he see's fit. Meaning, each player can control multiple units and different units at the same time. ROBA also draws parallels to a MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) as the single unit mode is incredibly micro intensive and ROBA itself has many skill shots that need to be learned. ROBA as an indie game, is inspired by the mechanics of WW2 recon and the physics of myth 2 but aims to be it's own unique gaming experience. Units are vastly different from one another each with unique abilities, movement, and firing mechanics. ROBA has new game modes that draws inspiration from many other games but implements them into this unique gameplay. With every playtest we learn something new and implement new features and fixes.

Development is active and we are currently testing multiple game modes. If you want to get involved early, apply for the playtest. Playtesting has been absolutely integral to the development of ROBA and wouldn't be where it is without people participating in the playtest. If you have the time and fit the criteria laid out in the form, please apply.
